Manager of Administration

Working in coordination with the operations team, this role will seek to recruit, manage and equip the administrative function and teams at New Hope Church Niagara. The Manager of Administration will develop processes that better equip our volunteer led teams while casting vision and recruiting as well. You will collaborate with other ministry leaders to ensure that operations effectively support the delivery of the church’s ministries. You will use your discernment, decision-making, planning and creative problem solving to manage the administrative function of the organization.

Responsibilities

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Recruit, train and equip the volunteer leaders of our forward facing ministries (ie. Admin, Hospitality, Property…etc)
  • Cast vision and share the missional heart of the church while ensuring operational efficiencies.
  • Research and implement technology that best equips the administrative function at New Hope Church (ie. Phones, printers, data solutions, softwares…etc)
  • Create processes that best support, equip and empower our volunteer/staff leaders.
  • Ensure that our administrative efforts best support the various ministries at New Hope Church Niagara.
  • Evaluate and develop proper physical/digital space to best serve our ministries.
  • Ensure the front office administrative function at multiple locations resembles the values of New Hope Church Niagara.

Team Responsibilities

Education, Experience and Skills

  • Work collaboratively with the operations team to ensure clear communication and highlight best practices.
  • Attend and engage at staff meetings, Leaders Pub, Breakfast Meetings…etc
  • Ensure a unified voice and presence in all forms of communication and on all platforms (ie. Social media, website, internal emails…etc)
  • Lead and train teams/staff on various digital platforms
  • Work with executive staff to ensure our administrative teams are effectively serving at multiple locations
  • A close, personal relationship with Jesus Christ characterized by dependence on the Holy Spirit, dedicated service and a vibrant spiritual journey.
  • University degree in business, management, theology or another relevant field
  • 5+ years of organizational leadership experience
  • Professional or lay leadership experience in building teams of volunteers
  • Strong communication, organization and attention to detail skills
  • Excellent computer skills and proficient with:
  • MS Office 365
  • Planning Center
  • Accounting and payroll software
  • Email Communication software (ie. Mailchimp, Constant Contact…etc)
  • Design software (ie. Indesign, Publisher, Canva…etc)

Position Details and Conditions

  • Position - Permanent. Reports to the Executive Pastor
  • Hours and Expectations - Full time with volunteer hours as per handbook
  • Compensation – Based on experience and education and competitive market rates
  • Pension/Benefits – Available based on hours and qualifications
  • Vacation - 2-3 weeks. See Staff Handbook for details
  • Probationary Period – All new employees will be on a three-month probation period
    effective the first day of their employment. During the probation period either the employee or New Hope Church may end the employment for any or no reason with or without notice.
  • Flexibility Clause – During your employment your direct supervisor may request that you undertake other duties and responsibilities which reasonably pertain to your job description.
  • Variation Clause – New Hope Church periodically examines and updates job descriptions to ensure they relate to the job performed. Your direct supervisor and you will review your job description. Any new responsibilities and priorities will be mutually agreed upon. New Hope Church reserves the right to make reasonable changes to this job description.
